Hello! My name Russell C. Howard. I am running as a pledged delegate for Pete Buttigieg in Alabama Congressional District 7. I ask for your vote Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
- Currently I serve as a founding board member and President of Druid City Pride
- Programming Co-Chair of The University of Alabama LGBTQ Alumni Association
- Deacon at First Presbyterian Church – Tuscaloosa.
- Professionally, I am the Office Manager of RealtySouth – Tuscaloosa.
I have been incredibly impressed by Pete Buttigieg since he announced his candidacy in early 2019. The past few years under our current president have been extremely discouraging to say the least.
The first time I heard Pete speak I finally began to feel excited about US politics again.
Excited to see a candidate who is compassionate, morally decent, brilliant, and relatable. I was sold that night! As Pete began to roll his plans, and I did more research, I knew I had chosen the right candidate to back.
Pete has led a campaign of inclusion from the very beginning. That inclusion is also echoed throughout the plans he has presented. To view and read all his plans, visit PeteForAmerica.com. A few that really stick out to me are:
- His Douglas Plan for Black America
- LGBTQ+ Rights
- Women’s Health
- Gun Violence Prevention
- Strengthening the Middle Class.
Now, more than ever, our country needs an inclusive president who will lead by example and I believe Pete is the only candidate who can unite our very fractured county.
I look forward to the leadership of President Pete Buttigieg and I hope you will join me in making that happen! Let’s rally behind Pete March 3rd in the Alabama Primaries, and if you are in CD-07, I ask that you vote for me, Russell C. Howard, as a pledged delegate for Pete Buttigieg.
If you have any questions for me, please email those to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!

Too often, people just see a list of delegate candidates and randomly select a few names. But these delegates represent YOU at the convention! They vote on the platform and they vote for the nominee. Give them a reason to vote for you!
