The press handouts mention the $20 breakfast, free fireworks and a $125 per person ball to celebrate Robert Bentley's inauguration as governor. Family friendly? Well, a lot of Alabama families can't afford a $20 per head breakfast, but on the scale of inaugural festivities maybe twenty bucks isn't totally over the top.
What you don't read in the press reports, what Bentley's handlers do not want in the papers and what is not at all friendly to average Alabama families, are the special opportunities available for high rollers willing to bankroll Bentley's inaugural festivities.
We have the information for you on the various levels of sponsorship – Governor’s Circle ($100,000), Platinum ($50,000), Gold ($25,000), Silver ($10,000) and Bronze ($5,000). You’re going to have to go at least Silver Level though if you want priority seating at the swearing-in ceremony and for the parade. Bronze Level still gets you priority seating to the Prayer Breakfast and the First Lady’s Lunch. But if you want a level with 40 tickets to the Inaugural Ball, well, you are going to have to pony up.
Special access for big spenders? You betcha!
