This is the beginning of an idea generated by another thread. I know there's prolly a nicer way to copy or link, so apologies. I'd really like some input on this. I love politics, and I believe in the political process and I know there are people out there who want to serve for the right reason, so I want to feel like I'm accomplishing something instead of continually banging my head against a proverbial brick wall.
My two cents worth….Maybe changing the status quo or birthing a new “quo” is something LiA and other progressive Alabama blogs should take the lead on. I feel so very disenfranchised by the county and state party operations. By and whole they are nothing but faux republicans. You get the rare individuals like Patricia Todd and Jeremy Sherer, but they get absolutely no support from the State machine. My friend Susan and I feel so isolated, but I know we can't be the only people in Marshall County who feel as we do. We can't be the only thinking people in this community. There have got to be other people who are just as sick and tired of feeling sick and tired as we are. We have to reform or create; and I really don't think the existing ADP is capable of changing or being changed.
