On the outside chance that AL-02 Rep. Martha Roby & AL-03 Rep. Mike Rogers are just too busy to handle the not-so-complex task of organizing public meetings with constituents, a group of concerned residents have thrown them a lifeline.
Join them on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 6pm for a “with-or-without-them” public town hall event in Montgomery. From the press release:
In lieu of any planned events for Martha Roby and Mike Rogers during the Congressional recess, Montgomery based citizens have organized a town hall for Thursday evening. This event will serve as an open invitation to Roby and Rogers to meet with their constituents, who have expressed concerns regarding many issues facing Alabama families and communities.
The town hall will be on Thursday, February 23 at the Sanctuary at 432 S Goldthwaite Street, Montgomery, AL. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the event to start at 6pm.
Here’s the invitation sent to Rogers’ and Roby’s offices. As yet, neither Representative has responded.
