Left In Alabama

Remodeling

LiA is about to undergo some remodeling.  Dardango has created a new, truly kickass, logo for us and the rest of the blog needs some sprucing up to go with it.  You know how new curtains make the carpet look tired and if you replace the carpet that old sofa just looks ratty ... and pretty soon you've redone the whole place?  That's where we are.

Major changes are in order for the sidebars too.  Some things will go away, never to reappear.  Others will move.  What sidebar items do you like/use and what would you love to kick to the curb?  Speak soon, or it will be too late.  Blogroll suggestions are welcome, too.

Bear with us over the next day or two -- hopefully the mess will be entirely cleared away and we'll have a shiny new place to blog by Monday.

Can't wait to see the kicka$$ logo! (4.00 / 1)
As far as the blogroll goes Trailer Witch hasn't posted anything since Janurary.  The McCain Monitor is obsolete so is the 2008 Racetracker.

I'm sure piggyheart wants to know if the remodel will include spell checker. :)

Please let (0.00 / 0)

piggyheart,  I was trying to help you out.

Although Initiative and Referendum (0.00 / 0)

is not an issue everyone here might support, would it be too much to ask that a link to my website be added to the blog roll (although in the true sense of the word it’s not a blog)? At least it would give LiA readers who may not have heard of the issue or my website the opportunity to visit my website and learn more about the issue. The complete URL is http://www.doctoriq.com/.

Maybe we could put you under Alabama Organizations, like ACCR and Alabama Arise?

mooncat, put me (my website, that is) (0.00 / 0)

anywhere you think I’ll fit, but I’m not an organization. I guess I’m just a voice crying in the wilderness of political corruption of Alabama politics. You can even put me in your pipe and smoke me if you want to.     :-)

No new spell checker.  What can I say?  We weren't selected for an episode of Remodel your Blog complete with $5000 budget, famous designer and an IT guru for a weekend.  You lucked out with Dardango's artistic talent but are unfortunately stuck with only my internet savvy -- which does not run to spell checkers.  I'm about to start playing in the code now -- dogeared copy of HTML for Dummies at hand -- so say a little prayer for LiA.  Tomorrow morning this page may be a purple jumble -- with a kickass logo!

If you don't mind composing in html you can give up the WYSIWYG comments and diary editing and you'll have a spell checker.  Set your preferences to "AUTO_FORMAT" either on a comment by comment basis or go to "your" page and change it permanently.

Work harder and work smarter!

Oops! (0.00 / 0)
My bad.  The reference tome is actually HTML in 10 Minutes.  My attention span is too short for the Dummies book.

Work harder and work smarter!
