In yet another example of “what happens when we defund community mental health clinics,” Madison County GOP Executive Comm. member (and Tom Butler-slayer) Hugh McInnish is holding a presser. In an – ahem – interesting email being circulated throughout the state, Mr. McInnish is making some big promises. Birthers of America rejoice… Hugh McInnish has proof, yes PROOF!, that President Obama's birth certificate is false.
Let's share his missive in its entirety, shall we? (Thanks to Alabama Democratic Party Chair Mark Kennedy for forwarding the text): (emphasis mine)
For the last several months I have been working on a white paper presenting the evidence that Mr. Obamas so-called birth certificate is a forgery. I have completed this paper and it contains some 30 pages of text and exhibits. I and my colleague Dean Johnson, who is a lawyer, will present it in a press conference on the steps of the Alabama Capitol in Montgomery on Thursday, February 2 at 1:30. The public is, of course, invited, and if you are patriotically inclined please join us. Signs are invited (but please leave your AK47s at home in the closet.)
Meanwhile by fortuitous circumstances the pot is boiling over across the Chattahoochee in Georgia. There a court hearing has been heard challenging Obamas right to be on the Georgia ballot. Neither Obama nor his lawyer responded to the subpoena to be present, and the judge considered summarily ruling against Obama. However the complaining parties, in what at first brush seems surprising, asked him not to take that step, but to let the hearing proceed. On second thought this makes good sense. It allows the plaintiffs to put their case on the record, and there it will be for use if the case gets a favorable ruling and is appealed. Generally, courts of appeal take no evidence themselves but rely on the evidence developed in the original court.
And that evidence is most impressive. See it below.
Many attempts have been made to get the Birthers case laid before the courts, but in ever instance the courts have wimped out and found an excuse not to examine the case on its merits. But now that has happened. And assuming a ruling against Obama, expected in about a week, there may be widespread repercussions.
For one thing, we Birthers can take off our tin hats and wear them as an iconic badges of honor. For another, it should encourage similar actions in the other states, all 49 of themor did I get that right? Maybe its all 56 of them. And finally, I hope that the case in George will intensify interest in my appearance on the Capitol steps at 1:30 on Thursday, February 2.
In my white paper I will present what I believe is conclusive evidence that the Obama birth certificate is a forgery and Obama himself a forgerer. Do you realize what that would mean? Just think of it! It would mean that the most powerful nation in the world is under the direction of a felon. It might mean, as some legal expert contend, that all of his executive actions are null and void.
It would also mean that the Fourth Estate is asleep while perhaps the greatest story of the 21st century boils beneath their feet. And finally it would mean that all of our so-called leaders have failed us miserably.
Please use your influence to bring people to the State Capitol Thursday.
A cataclysm may be building!”

hmmm….. let's consider the source of this putative “proof” and look back to those “thrilling days of yesteryear,” to Mr. McInnish's last major press conference:
Unfairness of Life is Cause of Racial Disparities in HSV Public Schools
McInnish offered a litany of bizarre “proof” that racial disparity isn’t “manmade,” claiming “blacks misbehave on average more frequently than whites do,” and that black students are unable to perform as well as white students. To McInnish, the only “manmade unfairness here” is that the DOJ wants to “correct a problem that is not of their making”
McInnish won posts on the executive committees for both the county and state Republican parties in June but insists he “Was not speaking out as a representative of either group.” “Some of them will be aghast at what I’ve said,” he mused.
But as much as McInnish is concerned about racial “justice,” he's even more obsessed by President Obama's birth:
That last one is truly breathtaking in its conspiracy theory craziness:
When Obama wrote a book and said he was mentored as a youth by Frank, (Frank Marshall Davis) an avowed Communist, People said it didn't matter.
When it was discovered that his grandparents, who were strong socialists, sent Obama's mother to a socialist school, and introduced Frank Marshall Davis to young Obama, People said it didn't matter.
When people found out that he was enrolled as a Muslim child in school and his father and stepfather were both Muslims, People said it didn't matter.
When he refused to disclose who donated money to his election campaign, as other candidates had done, People said it didn't matter.
When people started treating him as a Messiah and children in schools were taught to sing his praises, People said it didn't matter.
When he stood with his hands over his groin area for the playing of the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, People said it didn't matter.
When he surrounded himself in the White house with advisors who were pro gun control, pro abortion, pro homosexual marriage and wanting to curtail freedom of speech to silence the opposition People said it didn't matter.
When he appointed a science czar, John Holdren, who believes in forced abortions, mass sterilizations and seizing babies from teen mothers, People said it didn't matter.
When he appointed Kevin Jennings, a homosexual, and organizer of a group called gay, lesbian, straight, Education network, as safe school czar and it became known that he had a history of bad advice to teenagers, People said it didn't matter.
When as president of the United States , he bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , People said it didn't matter.
—– WTF? It's ok to hold hands with the Saudi King, but not bow?
When he designed plans to take over the health care system and put it under government control, People said it didn't matter.
[…] When he finally completed his transformation of America into a Socialist State , people finally woke up — but it was too late.
Ok… who thinks that the public will greet McInnish's “revelations” with the same “it doesn't matter” fervor that they greeted all of McInnish's other specious allegations?
Our next question: which GOP officeholders and candidates take money from this guy? Should be interesting to find out!
